EOU Registration Procedure / Steps

For establishment of an EOU in India, an entrepreneur or industrialist needs permission and certifications from the local administration (the regional Development Commissioner), the associated State Government, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, the Jurisdictional Commissioner of the Customs/Central Excise, Income Tax Department of the country, and the Ministry of Environment (Govt. of India). The following are the most important needs and the registration procedure for setting up an EOU anywhere in India:
1.    The specified application form in triplicate (given in the Handbook of Procedures in Appendix 14-IA) is to be submitted to the relevant Development         Commissioner (DC), and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Govt. of India, which is situated in the Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.
2.    A complete Project Report, bearing all commercial, financial, and technical viabilities, is to be accompanied by the application.
3.    A demand draft bearing amount of INR-5000/- and drawn in favor of The Pay & Accounts Officer,       Department of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is to be enclosed with the application.
4.    The documents demanded by the associated DC for approval to the EOU are defined in the Appendix 14-IB.
5.    Letter of Permission (LOP) from DC through Form provided in Appendix 14-IE.
6.    Legal undertaking (LUT) using Form given in Appendix 14-IF.
7.    Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) from DC
8.    A Green Card by the Zone Administration.
9.    Import Export Code (IEC)
10.    Small Scale Industry (SSI) Registration from the pertinent District Industries Center (DIC)
11.    Private Custom Bonded Warehouse License under section 58 and 65 of the Customs Act, 1962.
12.    And, registrations under the ITD of India, the State Government Sales Tax Act and Central Sales Tax Act.
